Bushcraft Team Building Event Day.

Our 1 day Team Building Bushcraft Days are a perfect way for your team to experience our natural world working together to provide food and shelter whilst having a little fun on the way. Each team building day incorporates several team focused activities as well as the opportunity to work individually or in small groups.

Excellent as an Icebreaker event or to help build morale and team spirit

Your team will set up camp and learn how to build a basic one-man survival shelter, tasks then turn to food preparation and cooking working together as a group to provide lunch for everyone. We then turn our attention to some individual activities learning how to use Edged tools safely and appropriately for the task at hand.

Whether you are a complete novice or just looking to build on your bushcraft skills our team building bushcraft days will introduce you to the essential skills of bushcraft and survival and teach you how to utilise these effectively in a survival situation.

Edged Tools and Spoon Carving Day

This course is intended to provide you with a working knowledge of the safe use of cutting tools, namely the axe, bushcraft knife, woodcarving knife and crooked knife in order to produce working kitchen utensils, with our main aim of producing a spoon.

You will also be guided through some basic tree identification and the different properties of different woods, in order to be able to identify suitable wood for your spoon.

You will learn how to select and collect the right wood in its raw state, split and rough out a blank and then proceed to carve a spoon which you will be able to take home with you.

We will also recommend further carving projects and if time allows produce other working kitchen utensils such as long handled spoons and spatula, to practice your new found skills.

All tools and materials are provided and are included in the price. There will be hot and cold water for drinks and a base camp style toilet for your comfort. This is a non-catered course and so you will need to bring along a packed lunch and snacks.

We recommend that you take a look at our Kit List below which details items we recommend you bring with you to make your time in the woods as comfortable as possible.

These courses are also ideal as team building workshops, or as an icebreaker event for colleagues in your workplace. Remember that if your not able to come to us but have a suitable space for a wood carving activity please contact us to discuss how we can accommodate you.
