Adult Bushcraft Weekends

Cambridge Woodland Academy are now offering Beginner Woodland survival and Bushcraft weekend Courses. These courses are aimed at those who have no previous bushcraft sor survival experiance. However if you know some of the basics this is also an opportunity to practice those skills, learn some new ones and meet like minded people. Our courses run over 2 days Saturday and Sunday (one day courses are also avliable, see beow) starting at 9am Saturday and ending at 5pm on sunday evening. Each weekend course will cover many different skills and topics, from spoon wittling to basic animal tracking and trapping. Food is provided for the weekend (Saturday: Lunch/evening meal, Sunday: Breakfast/lunch/late afternoon snack. Tea, coffee and soft drinks also available all weekend.

Example Itinerary:

Saturday:

9:00 -  arrival and welcome

9:30 - Site safety brief and housekeeping

10:10 - camp set up - collect wood etc

11:00 - Ropes, knots and shelters

12:30 - Lunch prep and cook

14:00 - Basic Knife work and safety

16:00 -  Safe Axe use

17:00 - free practice time 

18:00 - Dinner prep and cook

After dinner it is time to relax chill out by the fire practice skills learnt throughout the day, thi is also a good opportunity to ask questions and get to know each other.

Sunday: 

8:00 -  Breakfast prep and cook

9:00 - Animal Tracking basics

10:00 - Trapping basics

11:00 - Plant and tree ID

12:30 - Lunch prep and cook

14:00 - Practice time ( recap on skills learnt and practice)

15:00 - Basic shelters and placement

16:00  - Farewell Drink and thank you with Certificate presentation.

Price £150 Per person (maximum of 8 places per Course)
